About Me and My Project

Growing up in a family of six, the idea of traveling internationally seemed like a distant dream. The logistics of coordinating trips for a large family, coupled with the significant expenses involved, made it challenging to consider venturing beyond our immediate surroundings. Despite these circumstances, my passion for exploration and learning led me to pursue opportunities for international travel. I believe that studying different countries' economies firsthand through travel would provide invaluable insights and enrich my understanding of global economic systems, therefore aligning with my future aspirations. As someone who is majoring in mathematics and minoring in economics, becoming an actuary has been something I’ve been looking into. As an actuary, I'd be tasked with assessing risk and predicting financial outcomes.
Traveling to Japan is an excellent opportunity for studying consumer spending and business practices due to its unique and dynamic economy. Japan is known for its innovative retail environments, high-tech advancements, and strong emphasis on customer service, offering valuable insights into consumer behavior. Additionally, Japan's blend of traditional business etiquette and modern corporate strategies provides a comprehensive view of effective business practices. By immersing myself in Japan's economic environment, I can gain a deeper understanding of how cultural and technological factors influence consumer spending and business operations, enriching my academic and practical knowledge in these areas.
